Hey, I dont know if I'm posting this in the correct place but has any one heard any news with drumagog 5?
IMO 4 was pretty good, everything i disliked about it, seems to be corrected in the new one. I want it now.

I got an email from them a few weeks ago stating that Drumagog 5 would be delayed. The new promo ads are running and couldn't likely be killed or retracted in time. I also use it quite a bit and am waiting ofr the release although that new SPL drum replacer product that has the Transient Designer built into it looks pretty sweet. I am also a big fan and user of both the hardware and software versions of the SPL Transient Designer for my drum tracks.

I have used/rented both the 2-ch and 4-ch Transient Designer and have always had great success with them. Almost bought the 4-ch, but when I got the UAD Quad I played with the SPL plug version and it was so close to the hardware and easier to use in software with enough of the same results that I opted to not buy the hardware version at this time. Now SPL has a new plug that combines the Transient Designer plug with a drum replacer function. While I have not used that specific plug, I would have expect SPL to deliver on the goods. While Drumagog 4 is working well for me, I am awaiting Drumagog 5 to evaluate and hope to demo and play with the SPL version to see if an upgrade is warranted. I am leaning towards the SPL since I have the UAD Transient Designer plug now and can upgrade to the full drum replacer version for a discount.
