Hi,
I have an optical connection from my PCI card (Nuendo 96/52) to my ADAT XT. I'm trying to send 8 channels of digitial audio to the ADAT.
I have two questions.
1) I can't get the level meters on the ADAT to move, making me think the signal isn't getting there. I've read the manual and scoured websites and haven't found any information on how to make this connection correctly, or how to know for sure that I've made a connection at all.
I know the 96/52 and the optical cord are fine as I've run them to my Apogee PSX100 and the signal gets there.
2) The eight channels I'm sending are mono, and when I send them to the PSX 100 they're only coming out one speaker or side. When I get these to the ADAT, will they only be recorded on one side?
Confused, bewildered, and frustrated once again with all of this wonderful technology.

Is it still a format problem?

Makes sure the ADAT is in digital mode not in analog mode for input monitoring. If I remember correctly there is a dedicated digital in button on the front pannel.
