Hi.

Im trying to set up my laptop to use two different audio interfaces simultaniously.

One of them is a M-Audio Mobile USB.. and the other is a Hercules 16/12 FIREWIRE>.. The main problem is that Cubase won't let me use two drivers at once.. soo it cannot reckonize them both..

Is this possible to make it work?

And there is your answer. Most, if not all professional audio host software only allows you to use access one ASIO driver at a time. So you would need to get an audio interface or interfaces that all would use the same driver.

Even if you don't use both separate audio interfaces at the same time, having two different soundcards or audio interfaces in the same system usually creates more problems and conflicts that anything you gain by having both.

It does usually cause a lot of problems, but at least you can try:

Download ASIO4All from http://www.asio4all.com and install it. Then go to the ASIO4All offline settings (it makes this shortcut on the desktop) and enable both cards. In cubase select the ASIO4All driver.

Also, you should link the wordclocks of the two interfaces by means of a wordclock cable and slave one of the interfaces to the other (usually the one you expect has a less stable clock than the other, i.e. the less expensive is to be slaved to the more expensive, usually) if the interfaces support that.
