I'm not trying to minimize your question here, but, I would carefully examine the manuals for your speakers and mixer - most include several diagrams for different systems/uses. If you still have problems, come back with more specific questions.

Indeed, I DID have to go through a rather complex procedure to get my stuff working "right" - which took two years to find!!! Finally, one very kind person who actually understood MY system got me straightened out - but I really did have to try to get it going myself first, to even understand what it was I was trying to do and eventually understand his expanation of how to do it.

In your case, it is likely a much simpler hookup. Again, try the manuals first, come back with problems.

Thanks for the info TG, but I don't have the manual for the monitors because they were given to me by a friend. Currently I have them hooked up to the stereo outs on my mixer, but I get an annoying humming sound, when they are turned on. Like trying to tune in a radio station when you're driving down the highway and it won't just come in, all you get is static. I can hear the music coming from the mbox through the monitors, but I just need to figure out how to get rid of the humming. I have made another post which outlines the equipment that I have and details on that issue.

The DS-50A manual is NOT listed as available for download from Roland - though hundreds of others are? Wonder if these were not made for long? If problems continue, you might email Roland? It's possible the speakers themselves are bad? Have you tried hooking them up to a stereo or something?

I assume, with this mixer, you are using the analog inputs to the speakers, not the digital.

Anyway, there are manuals for the 30A and the 90A, which may help.

If the equipment is good(?), most of the time "hum" is a mis-wiring or ground problem. Make SURE all of your connecting cables are good and that the wires are going to the right place. Even some pre-made cables are "wrong"(Or at least wired differently than you'd think.). Some companies(Sony, in the past) used "different" wiring, too? Like pin one was ground, when "everyone" else used pin one as "left channel", whatever... An actual ground problem should only be suspected if you know your AC is "bad"(Other ground problems already.).

Other than that(Assuming the mixer itself has no amplifier...I don't think so?), just plugging left mixer out to left analog speaker in and right to right, using the proper cables should do it..?

this may work, get an adapter for your plugs... 3 prong to 2 prong adpater and then put electric tape on the ground hook...

cost me less than $2 and it fixed my ground issues with my new speakers...
