You're right, the manual doesn't specifically say "balanced" or "unbalanced" anywhere. But it is switchable from -10dB to +4dB with what they're calling a 'reference level switch', which almost always means it will do both balanced and unbalanced. Use the -10 position for unbalanced and +4 for balanced connections via TRS.

The inputs and outputs are UNbalanced. The "reference level switch" sets only the output level of the unit and does not affect the input sensitivity. Use the "input level" control for matching the input sensitivity to whatever you are driving it from, but it has only a 21dB range.
