I have seen that many studios have a variety of gear to choose from. As far as my home studio goes... I have a really good bass rig (ampeg, rocktron etc) but nothing else. I need some advice, if i I should save for something like Tama Rockstar with zildjian cymbals, and may be some guitar equipment. I don't want to buy 4x12 cab, cause it is really for stage and will take up a lot of space in storage, what should I get, should I get anything?

EDIT -> Maybe something like Fender Frontman 212R
EDIT --> Cause later I can wire it so that I can use a different head with it.

Bass drumsticksssssss.
By the way! NO ONE wants to record for free. 8-) I posted an ad about free recording time. And.... One guy that can barely play guitar responded no one else... If i will not find enough bands to keep me busy with free recording I will just try to advertise 80/hr maybe that will keep people interested 8-)

Good luck.

$80/hour is nearly unobtainable. If you had a great room, great gear, great console and a few gold records on the wall...maybe.

I charge $50 an hour and have most of those things and people still laugh at me when I tell them my rates (and then tell me that "Bubba down the road said he'd record me for 4 hours for $25 and he's got ProTools (LE of course)...")

Theres a certain 'fade' on this post. Its heading towards the twilight. Soon to be extinguished.

Bassticks? BASSSTICKS? I GOT YER FRIKKIN BASSSTICKS RIGHT HERE!!!!

Its expensive to be in this business.

If you really want some business, you HAVE to charge for your time. You want to set a rate that people will think they're getting a real deal.

But NEVER for free.

Heres one that works.

Studio time....$15/hr. FREE Set-up for the drums.

Those of us who dont want that kind of clientele, always double the rates AND I charge from the moment your guitar case hits the floor of my shop.

Unless I like your stuff and then we work out a deal for a whole project.

No, it can't be that. It's something else. Something about the base and the stick, but the guy is from Utah.

OK, the guy who sold Gertok the drums was actually selling Sabian Symbols and Base Drumsticks - exactly translated from the Craigslist add.

I thought it was funny and decided to run with it, then Bob added the comment from the video game, and the rest is history...

I'm thinking it's a bass beater and not a base stick you use, but I'm just laughing at the whole reference to Zero Wing.

Exactly!
