I wanted to record my wife's vocals. Just got the Neumann 103, and wanted to match it with a good pre. I'm getting fireface which I've heard has good AD/DA converters, but their pre's not that so great.

So, What do you guys think? My budget is around 1500, maybe $2000 max. I've heard both good and bad things about 737's, but so far only good things from M5's, but wanted to ask..

Also, how about the blue robbie as a pre?

Any other pre's for the price?
