I just purchased a BLUE Bluebird microphone for a gig I did over the weekend and was very impressed by this microphone. Any others used the BLUE series and have any thoughts on them? I found this particular microphone to have a very open, very neutral, very pleasing quality. I was using it to record a soprano in a soprano/piano recording session. The piano was recorded with two AT-4051s. I normally record this piano with two AKG Blueline microphones but did not have access to them for this session. Any thoughts on the BLUE series would be most welcome.

I've got no beef with them. So far, I've only ever used the Baby Bottle (on acoustic guitar) and the Dragonfly (on male vocals) and I liked them both. I personally haven't dropped the dough for them yet, but certainly wouldn't mind owning a pair.

FWIW, you really ought to try the Audix SCX-25. If you like the Blues, you will LOVE this mic. Detail, smooth response, very quick and quite sensitive. Of course, I'm a tad biased, but I really do like them quite a bit.
