I know most people here are basically professionals in production and recording, but to be honest with you, I am little more than a lowly beginner. I have all these songs I want to record with the band, and no money (I'm a student), to go into a real studio. What do I need to get started on everything in terms of PC foundations and recording programs. I've heard great things about Cakewalk products. But what PC specs would I be requiring, what sort of hardware? If anyone could help out it'd be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
