Had a great couple of days in the Clarion PA area, fly fishing regional streams for trout.
Got to meet up with Dave Hawk (dvdhawk) who drove me around to off-the-path streams I had never fished before, and yea, of course we talked about audio and rhe various nuances of our craft. Dave's a great guy, one of those guys I wished I'd grown up with. We are co-engineering an album for charity (sessions start mid July) involving Ohio musicians, with the proceeds of album sales being donated to opiate addiction recovery in Ohio. While Dave is from Western PA, he's already quite familiar with many of the players involved, and in some cases has made fast friends with certain cats.
I had a wonderful (and much needed) time searching for the wiley trout.
Final count was 7 Brook Trout, 5 Brown Trout, and I owe Dave a big thanks for pointing me in the direction of streams I had no idea existed. ;)
I'm also very excited about working with him on this upcoming project. He is Incredibly smart and talented, and the most laid back and friendly guy you'd ever meet. My only regret is that I didn't meet him 30 years ago.
