ok, so i'm going to get a digi 002...what would you recommend to use as the laptop for it. i tend to like macs, but what is the best bang for the buck out there? so you need a computer all tricked out and fast, or will something cheaper do?

With the Opus 2k mods on the OS, an external firewire hard disk for data, and the digi 002, this looks like it may be a good solution.
