Hi,
I am using Sonar 2.2 is there na advantage to converting my Midi tracks (using DXI) to wave? It seems as though I can route any effects thru the aidio track for any of my DXI tracks.

Thanks

Advantages:

- Muting the source midis/DXis saves you CPU power - good if the bar is going into the yellows.
- Gives you a display of the waveform so you can monitor peaks and such and look out for anomalies like sudden dropped samples. (it happens sometimes... weird)

Disadvantages:
- Disk space
- Pain to modify should you decide that the velocity for one single note is a tad too high, etc.

As far as the audio itself goes, it should be identical, except for minute quantization noise in the audio version (assuming you're saving at 16-bit).
