Not sure if this is under the Pro Audio Gear thread, so please feel free to move if necessary.
Does anyone know if there is a 'pro' microcassette player out there? Maybe not pro, but I'm wondering if there is one that has a better output than a 2.5mm.
Thanks
:)

The person that needs this already has a bunch of microcassetts and is digitizing them. Otherwise, a digital hand-held definitely would do the job.
I didn't think anything of the sort is really out there, but thought I'd see if anyone here might know of one.
Thanks for the advice!

No. I can't remember even ever seeing a stereo microcassette, or even a good quality high bias one. I thought all those were used for was dictation and old answering machines using cheap normal bias tape.
How about one of those hand-held digital recorders, instead?
Unless there's some odd reason you want to use something that may be difficult to find tapes for, anyway?
Are we going to be left wondering?
