I am about to buy a new daw pc. I was thinking of buying an AMD Athlon 64 3000 with an ASUS AN8E due to my limited budget when I run across some terrible bad comments of the nForce4 chipset and audio.

apparently, there is an issue which makes the video card connected to the PCIe bus take so much bandwidth that makes everything else slow.
It makes some sense if you think it, as it's made by video card manufacturers and most powerful PCs are the ones for the games, which uses heavy graph processing. They may want to keep them happy.

Is there anybody that can confirm this? If so, can you recommend me any other motherboard?
