Ok soo about 10 years ago I bought my first mac. Quadra 840AV $3800 + $580 for another 16 meg of ram. YIKES! and that came with NO keyboard...any of you remember those days? Oh and the sucky part. 3 months later the powermac 8100 comes out making my 040 machine obsolete within a year because it couldnt handle the ppc code.
Soo its been sitting in my closet for the past oh lets see. 7 years. I cant bare to sell it off for $50, that is if I can even find someone who would buy it for that. I figure. .a museum piece one day :D
Any creative ideas on what I can do with it? I won't throw it away because I wanna remind myself of the mistake I made buying the latest greatest. I swear I'll never do that again!

I can't think of anything terribly useful about an old quadra like that. However, you could get a really old version of Performer and use it as a sequencer. If you upgraded the processor in the quadra to a G3, you could load some soft synths on there and use it as a synth.

Howdy
I have several "vintage" computers and am coming to the realization that its time to "burn the woobie". They have to go, someone else can get more use out of them than I.
There are a couple of sites dedicated to old Mac OS stuff. Maybe you can find a few programs that will make it useful again. Check out google.
