The Trident 80 Series desks are fucking awesome. It will take you a bit of time to get used to the equalizers, but once you have a handle on them, you're going to really fall in love with the desk.
The mic pre's are excellent, the overall sound of the desk is excellent. If it's your desk I would suggest that you change the main audio rails from the Trident Power Supplies to something like API 650A PSU's [or other similar, larger, more stable with greater 'voltage on demand' capability].
Other than that, they're pretty maintenance free, and excellent sounding.
