Apple adds a new tool to Logic: Flex tool, I say how cool! I hope its bug free!

Looks like Apple is going to make us spend $200 a year now for updates, guess thats what it takes to keep on top of the ball. 8)

I really like the new time stretch feature! Also, it looks like they finally got the multi comp feature working smoothly, so many frustrations guys with LP8 on that one!

You mean the included multipressor? What kind of problems are you referring to? I've never had any real problems with it. I mean I have realized that it doesn't really work on most things, but it has its uses. For me, I put it on a drum bus to get the set pumping. It's neat for anything with a wide frequency range. But other than that, it doesn't really do me much. I can't say that I can nail down any particular 'flaw' that it has, but I have heard of people complain about it before this thread.

Guitarfreak, sorry I meant multi-take. Do you know the feature that allows you to take your different takes and lay them out so that you can take the best parts from multiple overdubs and easily combine them to make a new track? I guess many different DAW's have this feature about them. Logic Pro 8 had a very funny way of making it too difficult for your average joe like me to figure out.

I am hoping that there are many other great features in LP9, I intend on getting it soon.

Looks like I'll be waiting for a bit to buy and install Logic Pro 9, you need the latest version of OSX Leopard 10.5.7

I'm gonna wait for Snow Leopard to become available in September, I hope someone chimes in to tell us about the updates.

One things for sure, the guitar effects sure sounded great on the demo!

The verdict is out.

I've been keeping up on the Logic Pro Help Forum, Logic 9 with all its great new features has some major flaws yet.

Its seems that every other day someone has been having issues.

One of the moderators is calling the first release of LP9 a Beta version. The EXS sampler on LP9 is not recalling its settings properly. You can read the thread[[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.logicpro…"] here[/]="http://www.logicpro…"] here[/].

I also noticed that Apple has omitted some feedback on the Apple store product page where you can both rate from one to five and comment on the product.

One step forward, two steps back.

Alright, installed Leopard and Logic Pro last weekend. Just onboard with the new Logic Pro 9.0.1 update today and feeling good. Logic is responding more snappy than ever! I hope to be making some great new music with this.

The only regret that I have is updating my drivers/firmware for the FireStudio.

The firmware is not allowing my machine to record and playback at 96k properly.

I've tried reverting back to the old software with no success loading old firmware. 88.2k works fine however, I will have to call PreSonus.
