I am in the process of trying to get some subwoofers and floor monitors. I currently am building a soundproof studio but I also plan to do some live shows in a medium size venue. Is there any recommendations of some subs or floor monitors that I should get?

For live (sound re-enforcement) I like the "good" JBL stuff not the low end stuff but others here might have a different preference.

if you need studio sub, why not get the rp10 to match your rp5's
if you need studio sub, why not get the rp10 to match your rp5's? 10" driver to fill in the low end missing from your krk's..
if you need a live sub, maybe look into a powered sub (for ease and awesome sound). jbl and mackie make good ones, but i swear by my yorkville powered sub. (2) 10" drivers for superpunch!
