i know it can be done, but i cant find how to pan individual midi notes. I'm trying to pan some rythm sounds harder right or left than defautled(within the same keyboard layout). can somebody help? I'm using pt8. (everytime i search pan or panning it comes up with everything except what i need!). thanks!

You'd have to change every instance of that note afaik. Midi control numbers effect the entire midi channel. So, unless you have only that note on it's own channel, you have a small amount of work to do. Otherwise just draw in the automation. Much easier, I think.

You should be able to activate " automation on"> overdub the midi track and then hit record and pan the midi notes in real time using the panning on the track or a controller as Hueseph suggested. If you can't do this, it means you don't have midi pan activated which is a very simple setting in your midi command centre of you DAW preferences.

Control number 10 to be exact. I can't help but think it would be easier just to create an automation point for that note. Just draw it in on an envelope.
