Yes. I bought the MPL-1 Pro and then got a free upgrade to the SE version when it was released. Its an excellent limiter IMO, with particularly good stereo imaging (it uses a clever method of stereo linking which differenciates between RMS and peak levels.)

I used it exclusively until I bought Izotope's Ozone plug recently... I now tend to use Ozone instead, but thats mainly because Ozone has one of the best dither algo's available.

(MPL1 also inculdes a dither option, but its just a standard algo, very similar in quality to the free MDA dither plug. This might actually be better than the posh Ozone dither if the material is to be processed further, but for final dithering down to a CD master I prefer the MBM dither included with Ozone)

You may also wish to consider Voxengo's [[url=http://[/URL]="http://www.voxengo…"]Elephant[/]="http://www.voxengo…"]Elephant[/] at a similar price point. It is also very good although I don't own that one... as far as I can remember from demoing it Elephant was a little more aggressive sounding while MPL1 tended to be more transparent. (Both plugs can be tweaked to sound more or less aggressive of course.)

I also use the MPL1 while mixing btw. It can do very nice things to a drum sub-group, and the mono verion included is very useful for things like bass guitars, or even vocals.

I appreciate the reply. Presumably, one could use another dither instead. I have Apogee UV22, which I think is well regarded.

Yes. UV22 has a good reputation, though I never tested it personally. If you use another dither just make sure the MPL1 dither is turned off.
