I've never used a foucsrite liquid mix mic pre, but I do have Logic Studio 9.

Seems to me that you should concentrate on analog mic pres, although they are more money they do not lose value as the cpu technology does, besides I believe the focusrite is made in china also.

IMHO a decent analog mic pre will give you more harmonics at your front end anyway.

Rather than mimicking all the others, you can have something that will grow with all the future changes in your studio environment.

He's been referring to the new Liquid Mix controller/software, NOT the mic preamp thingy. Read his other posts, he's already been told that the Platinum series (and possibly the Liquid Mix controller) are M.I.C. He's looking for feedback from folks who have that controller/software package to expand his mixing capabilities.

Yes, interesting indeed. Certainly nice for saving on cpu.

Still probably made in china, some guys seem to like it though.

I still would have a hard time trusting that it will stay working for the long haul.

I guess I would prefer the plug-ins in Logic/ saving money to update to a new Mac instead.
