I saw this a while back and thought the same. :) Now that you refreshed it! I hope people find this topic and continue where it left off.
Interestingly enough.. since this post (back in the analog days) a lot has changed in the recording industry. Studios used to hire and mentor the young and aspiring newbies to do things. "runners"
Its so different with digital audio today. One person can do what once took many people to produce. Imagine what will be happening with AI in another few years.

It helps you to remember why you got into this business in the first place - it's fun! It's also an opportunity to pay back that once-upon-a-time that someone took a chance on you. And there's better than even odds that you'll learn something new yourself.
