I recorded a piano trio (piano, violin, cello) rehearsal in a church using a Sony MZ-M10 and Core Sound binaural unpowered mics http://www.core-sound.com/mics/1.php.

I clipped the 3 mics to the music stands of the violin and cello, who were seated facing away from the piano.

I don't think I have much of an ear for telling good recording quality from great, so I'm asking any pros or experts to evaluate it. What is it lacking, and is there any easy fix equipment or placement wise that will do the job better?

Its hard to beat the convenience of a tiny MD recorder and the binaural mikes. This is just for my personal recordings, but I want them to sound as good as possible. I dont want to bring around a mixer board or any equipment that isn't really portable.

Also is there anything I can do as far as post-processing? I have Audition, but I have no clue how to best filter or equalize it for things to sound better. If you have any tips on that for this particular recording, please share them! Maybe you could email me the mp3 if you want to show me what it can sound like in the right hands :lol:
