Hello everyone. This is my first post, but I've learned so much from you people over the last few weeks, so thanks!
I've seen a couple of posts elsewhere about the Apogee Mini-Me where users complained that their preamps are a little on the noisey side. Would users here agree that this is the case?
From my own experience, I know it's possible (when not using something properly) to get the wrong impression, so I'd like to clear this up before I buy one.
Many thanks,
John Stafford

Hi John,
Thanks for your reply!
Glad to hear that you have had no noise problems with your mini-me. I haven't come across any other references to noise in the Mini-Me other than the posts I mentioned from the other forum.
All I have to do now is save up the money!
Cheers!

Hi John--
I've got the Mini-Me, and the preamps have a clean yet punchy sound. I wouldn't call them noisy.
The only application that might pass as noisy is with the Soft Limit Compressor on the 3rd curve. Which is a brick wall limiter that brings out background noise the same way any hard limiter does.
first and second curves are more of a safety net to avoid digital overide.
I own a Mini-Me and I'm very happy with it. Good luck,
Rodrigo
