What is SMP?

As far as Dual core is concerned , Digidesign sent out a press release indicating that PT7 was optimized for Multicore and Multi CPU use. That being said their website has some pretty good info regarding support issues related to hardware, good luck!

I was reading a while back that pro tools 7 does utilize dual core. In fact one guy was commenting on how there's a meter for both cores so you can tell whats going on.
