PZM's are essentially immune from clipping at the capsule and from phasing issues. The low frequency response is a function of the size of the surface it's mounted on (ie: plexi panels as drum OH mics) whether it would be better than a Beta 52.....depends what you're using it for I guess. If for kick, I'd want it on a vertical surface rather than the floor.
