Hi all ive just completed my vocal booth and i was hoping to use my RODE k2 mic in it. Now how does everyone connect the mic if the power source is in the control room and the mic in the booth?
The connection from the mic into the power sources has 7 pins not the usual 3. Now is there a connctor you use to put into a wall box from booth to control room?
i hope you understand my question.

I'm not familiar with the K2, but if it has a seven pin connector on it, it is a tube microphone. Tube mics use an external power supply because the tube inside the microphone requires a high voltage to work. The extra wires going from the power supply to the mic are for supplying the tube with the high voltage (to simplify). Your best bet is to put the power supply in the booth with the mic, then using the normal three pin mic connector to goto your mic panel. Assuming you have built a panel with at least one mic connector that runs into the control room and an electrical outlet (separate from each other of coarse) into your vocal booth (big OOPS if you have not). A pipe through the wall will compromise the isolation you have so painstakingly built between your booth and control room. And you do not want to run the power supply voltage down your mic lines; it can interfere with the other signals travailing next to it and too much distance can reduce the voltage enough to inhibit the mic from working properly.
