Does anyone know any tricks to the Def Leppard drum sound, especially Pyromania? I am mostly interested in the snare sound.

Hey,
A while ago I posted a question regarding the vocals on Hysteria and Mr Mike Shipley himself "ships" replied to it. Was great to actualy discuss it with one of the guys who made that album.
Would be great if he saw your post and replied. Other than that, Davedog's got it all covered! Except he forgot to mention....hours and hours and hours and hours of work!!
good luck,

what i think you should do is take a looped sequence of midi or other sequencer like in Reason, or something of the sort,,, then change the samples around as they play and you can just mess the sound of the drums while the hits occur automatically,, that's how i used to do all my industrial/drum n bass music in the past.. reason is a REALLY good program for that, and you can controll it via midi with electronic drums or just draw in the hits,,, it rocks and sounds great

Layers upon layers of triggered synthetic sounds blended carefully with the highest quality, well miced, live drums through the best equipment money can buy with Mutt Lange doing the work.
Good luck.
