Is it possible to sync a PC running Nuendo to a Mac running pro tools? I have a laptop running XP with Nuendo and I would like to sync a session on that with a pro tools session.

You should be able to sync the two systems via MIDI Time Code / SMPTE. You need to put one of the systems (either one, really) into "Master" mde, the other one into "Slave". There are a number of MIDI/SMPTE interfaces out there that will do the interfacing. The MOTU MicroExpress is one I have personaly used to sync up an Emu-Darwin HD recorder system (as Master) and Logic Audio (as Slave) on my PC. Only the "Slave" system really needs to have an interface that reads MTC/SMPTE. The other system just needs to transmit the timing information (which they more or less all do - it might be an option that you have to select).
