I understand that this forum is really for the pro's, but I couldn't find anywhere else which seemed suitable, so I hope you will forgive me.
Like many other amateurs I follow this forum closely and try to pick up any advice, comments and suggestions and to learn from them. One idea that I haven't seen put into practice (if it has been details would be appreciated) is as follows:
If one, or more, of you guys were willing to upload an example of the "raw" tracks before you start doing your magic and the final results afterwards I think it would demonstrate far better than written words a lot of the principles that are discussed here. Two .wav file of a couple of minutes of music before and after would do it.
Just a thought :)

I have read through the Ultimate idea thread, and it looks like an awesome idea. If I have understood the proposal it goes far beyond what I was thinking of though. I was really just thinking of short before and afters top illustrate principles (I said a couple of minutes, but probably 10-20 seconds would be enough and would make the posting bearable).
But, synthesising the two ideas, it might be even cooler if there was one before but several pro's posted their afters, that way we amateurs could hear that there is more than one "right way" to mix a track!

This forum is NOT just for Pro's. I encourage new and amateur engineers to ask questions, and to interject when they have a particular knowledge or thought on something.
Pro's can learn from the questions of amateurs. This is also a musicians forum, and I know that musicians often find themselves in a mixing scenario, and if there is a question, it should be asked.
In regards to your concept of supplying raw tracks and a final product, we are planning on doing something similar to this. You can check out The Ultimate Idea thread, and see what I'm talking about.
