Hi Guys...
i built a new machine and i need to change my sound card.. 'cos my old machine will continue to use my Layla20.

I need to buy another Sound Card to work with this new machine ( Dual Athlon 2000+ - ASUS A7M266-D 1GB Ram ).. what do u suggest ?

I need at least 10 Analog ins( With good Converters ) ( don't have any ADDA Converter to use ADAT Lightpipe cables). It would be VERYYY Good if the board can handle 16ins/outs .. 'cos i very often need to record Drums ( 10 Channels ) + Bass + Keyboard ( Stereo ) + a Over all mic to recording the Control Room and it will be good to record all that things at the same time.

Any sugestion ?
BTW: the card must have a VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GOOODDDD ASIO driver to work with nuendo.
thx a lot GUYS > :)

Cheers.
PG

Edirol doesn't bode well with me. I have had heard nothing but bad things about their drivers and support.

Few years back I was helping John Fogerty with one and we ended up trading it for another card due to it's lack of working!

Also a few people on here have tried their products and had nothing but clicks, pops and crackles..they got rid of them for a nother type of card and voilla, all problems gone.

They're one of those companies that it's either a hit or miss, unfortunately more misses than hits

PG,
As far as I am aware they have fixed many issues with older Via based chipsets but it's still recommended to use all AMD chipset based systems or all Intel

PG,

Might be worth looking at two Q10's. I am still working out some problems with interoperability with Sonar and the Q10 control panel, but the sound quality is pristine and two of them would give you 16 ins all with adda for under $1500 total.

(I am far from an expert, hopefully others will chime in on my suggestion.)
