Hi everyone,

This is the last step of the project. We've been tracking and mixing. Now's the time for the mastering.
This project has been done entirely by RO members and it's purpose is to learn and discuss about all aspect of a production.

I know that mastering has much to do about arranging multiple songs together but for the sake of the exercise we are gonna work on only one song.

Everyone is welcome to submit a master version, even if you are not a Mastering engineer.
This is not a contest, just an opportunity for practicing, dicussing, learning and showing what we can do.

I'm using google drive to offer HighRes files :

Your version is very clear but lacks a bit of low end. The thing that surprised me the most is that there is more energy to the right side...

Here is a more dynamic version

Hey Chris - thanks :)

ah I used really basic stuff. Reaper, Baxter eq in m/s mode, and also a melda production eq, which all fed into reaxcomp and limiter No6.

DR9 ... i mention because I have a dynamic range meter and that's the readout it gave. I tried not to push it too loud and DR9 seemed to be a sweet spot for loudneas vs distortion. At least, based on what I did. I think it was +3 at the loudest on the VU calibrated to -10dbfs.
