hey yuh thanx its a sm 58 shure...

The SM58 is a good "standard" vocal mic. Not grand, but perfectly OK for many applications. I've read that Bono records with an SM58.

It's not a good choice (IMHO) for quiet or breathy vocals, but for a stong voice it will do the job just fine.

"Anything" is right! I had an ex shove a 58 up the tailpipe of my pick-up once and it kept it from turning over! It was hell getting it out, too!
