My first contact with ole 240V was when I was about 8 or so. I decided to build a "electric fence" by twisting bits of copper wire together.

It looked like a 30 year old fence out in the bush somewhere that had been headbutted by a million bulls.

Anyhoo, I wired it up to the mains, and of course, one has to test if these things work, so I grabed hold of it! Thank god for AC, it will suffer fools IF your having a lucky day.

I got this white pimple on my finger from it, for a while I was sure I was going to die ha ha ha ha! Ahhhh, those where the days....

I think self induced introductions to electrons is one of the requirements.

We used to sit around with a telephone ring generator seeing who could hold onto the wires the longest, and fastest.
