Well, Opus2K gave us a link at the official Tascam forums, and so here I am. :) I've being doing home recording and MIDI since the C64 days, and I've always just been an amateur on all levels. I have owned the origianl Tascam Portastudio 424, and now I am using the US-428, and with a few pitfalls along the way (which is par for the course in the home recording world, IMHO), have been enjoying the unit and what it offers me in my Cubase VST/32 PC setup. I'll try to add something to the discussion from the point of view of someone without any background in professional recording, just someone who likes to make and listen to music of all kinds (although I am partial to early Genesis, The Beatles and XTC). :D

Hello all!! Thought I'd stop on here and see what goes on. I'm Dragonhead BTW from the Tascam site forum. This is one heck of a big resource. Thanx again Opus for directing me here. I'll try to give knowledge where I can, but it sure seems like I'll be devouring a wealth of recording tips and info. Sweeeeet!

This is the place to be!! Indeed there is a wealth of information on this site and we're improving it every day we can!!
Glad that we're getting more of the 428 users over here...I almost feel like family at that point for you guys!!
