I am not familiar with this card, but usually these settings would be saved as a default session from within whatever DAW program you are using.

If updating the drivers doesn't work, I would look into getting a better card.

Are you referring to settings within the Windows Sounds dialogue or within Cubase or whatever DAW?

I am not making these changes in Cubase but in a software for the soundcard "Value output mixer".

I have the latest drivers as well.

The sound card is a bit old maybe, but it wors well and fullfills its purpose. I'm not really in need of any new card. This is a minor issue but a bit irritating at times even though it only takes a second to make the setting change. You know the western world...impatient :)

It may come down to what your OS is, some have to be configured to allow write access.

Like you said it works and you are satisfied with it, it is a gamers type card, so, what can you expect ;)

Gamers? DSP24 Value is a sound card for music production and was very popular when it first hit the market. It has worked well and I don't see what a new sound card could manage that this one can't. I'm certainly not going to buy a new card just because I can't save a simple setting that only takes a second to change anyways. But sure, it is a bit annoying but it aint the whole world. If it can be solved then that's great, if not, then so be it. :-)

Try changing the settings in question from within the Windows Sound Devices dialogue. It may or may not be overriding the asio driver.

It may be a piece of junk....
