I am always saddened to hear of someone passing away who has contributed to our craft, imparting knowledge and ideas, teaching, etc., whether I knew them personally or not.

In the past I've been on the acoustics forum (which seems to be defunct) and talked with Bert and Eric on threads that you (Rod) also took part. What an apparently nice and gentle man Eric seemed although he could certainly get wound up with certain "snake oil" merchants... ;) What a very knowledgeable and helpful person we have lost! Rest in peace.

Though Eric tended to be rather firm, and some might say of terse opinion, regarding acoustics... He was always a man of conviction. Always only wanting to be sure that good information and accuracy of that wisdom were passed along.

A brilliant man none the less. He will indeed be missed.

Indeed. thanks for posting this Rod. I tried looking up Eric last year. Those were fun days back then! He and Ethan Winer got into it but good more than once eh! Rod ,Max everyone... you said it best. He was indeed brilliant and was very passionate.

Aw man...i just saw this. I still recall as far back as 14ish years ago when everything i was trying to study on and learn Erics name was always on the answer to the post that i dug up.

I am personally saddened by his passing.

Rod, I know you and he were great friends so while we have all lost a true leader in Eric, I extend my condolences to you personally for your loss.
