If we plan on getting our 4 song demo mastered but we are doing the recording and mixing ourselves, what should we do and NOT do to give the mastering engineer the most flexibility when working with our material?

Don't compress your stereo bus and don't print it too hot.
Give the mastering engineer some room to work with.
Have all your takes edited and ready to go.
Also, know which mixes you are using, try not to sort things out on the clock.
