I'm searching for a professional microphone for recording vocals and acoustic instruments. I've heard about the Neumann U87. It should be a very good item for this recording situation but the company Neumann only produces now the new model U87Ai. Can anybody tell me what the differences are between the two mics?

The new ones are more sensitive, they have a lot more output than the old ones. The older ones are a bit smoother in the upper mids also to my ears.
