Hey everyone,
I just recorded some fantastic drum tracks using Cubase on a G5 that has incredible processing power and memory...
the problem I'm having right now is that in trying to overdub some guitar parts there is a delay before Cubase reads the signal and so the drums and guitar are not in sync...
I think it has to do with either :
Disk buffer size Audio Buffer size
Frame rate Sample Rate
. or maybe a combination of all of these?
This is my first time running into this problem...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure that monitoring is the issue...I actually do hear it all in real time, however, when playing it back (or when observing the input LEDs the signal does not record until a short time later...
at one point today I thought I had the problem licked, but about 40 seconds into the song I began to get a crackle and delay on the guitar track (during recording process, not playback)
I thought I'd finish this song today!!
Wrong!!!!
