Help me please (and don't mock my gear please, even thought it is most likely deserved.)
Source > Behringer 1832FX mixer > Seasound Soloist > Sonar 7.
Here is my current method. rip away!
1) I set the trim so the clip light doesn't/barely ever lights up.
2) Have the main mix faders set on 0.
3) Bring the Fader up to the point where the main mix LED's stay at around 0, and go into the yellow during peaks. (the behr mixers LEDs are -30 to 0 in the green 0 to 10 in yellow, and clip above that.)
4) Behr mixer hooked up to line inputs on Soloist.
5) Open Sonar
6) Adjust line input knobs on Soloist so that average signal is around -18, and peaks are around -12 at most.
Am I doing anything significantly wrong here? Please help!
