hello,
Hi, I'm currently trying to get entry level position at real recording studio. It seems so hard to find entry level (even intern or runner job) if you are not in or a graduate of recording school. I heard many studio hires you if you know how to operate Pro Tools, yet I do not have money to recive decent Pro Tools training here. Should I buy a M-box or Digi 002 to just get familier with Pro Tools software? How similer is it to Pro Tools HD?
Thank you
YK

PT LE is very similar to HD with a few provisos. LE is limited
PT LE is very similar to HD with a few provisos.
LE is limited to 32 mono tracks (16 stereo or any combo of stereo and mono totaling 32).
It runs native on your computer, so processing power and RAM play a large part in the number of plug-ins and virtual instruments you can use.
You will not have used any of the HD compatible control surfaces, such as the Control 24 or the Pro Control.
A good teacher on PT is essential. I went to FMC in Manhattan and learned a lot of really great tips and tricks that I would never have discovered on my own, as the teacher had numerous record and movie credits, and services installations thoughout the East.
Good Luck!
