I have Reason and Fruity Loops but the drums don't sound all that hot. What do you suggest?

But, you definitely need experience with mixing a real drummer. Using DFH is like having an expert engineer setting up your mics and preamps... and a spectacular drummer doing everything you say.
That being said, YOU need to then mix those sounds as if you were in a studio with a drummer. The mics bleed, there is ambient noise and vibe (which most people prefer) They are very lifelike and natural... so if you're just looking for something with less effort, DFH might be overkill.

They have libraries of multi-sampled drums that are realistic sounding. If you are looking for a more finished drum sound, those may not be exactly what you want. In that case look at something like a drum sample library or possibly a drum machine.
