I've got most of the gear that I must have for my recording set up (its modest but I'm happy), except a drum solution. In an apartment now so real drums out of the question. plus ive been loving midi and i thought that an elec kit should fit perfectly! but my question is, how can i use an electronic kit with Cubase sx 2? after doing some reading here, I'm guessing that Cubase can actually get the sounds from the drum module? maybe i read that wrong. what I assumed was that i'd have to load kit into, say, kontact battery, and assign every drum pad to one of the samples. but then this would take forever to do with all the zones and such. is there an easy way (if its not already done anyway) to record midi drums using an electronic kit, preferrably using the sounds that come with the kit?
I'm thinking about these. budget is a BIG issue and this set has pretty awesome reviews.
