I don't know whether the JTS mics are available anywhere other than here in Oz.
About a year ago, out of curiousity I borrowed a new JTS PDM3 which is a copy of the SM58 from a local audio company and compared it to my 3 SM58's during a rehearsal............to be honest there wasn't much difference. I didn't keep it as I didn't need another 58 style mic. I also have a 57 clone (not JTS),along with 3 genuine 57's and again there is virtually no difference in the performance.
Also, for a long time, there have been strong rumours floating around within the industry that Shure have some mics manufactured in Asia, so these mics may come from the same factories.
There is a guy who regularly sells new Shures on Ebay Aust., far less than you would get them for in the stores and his pricing is competitive with the clones.
Sammy, I don't know whether the JTS mics are available anywhere
