What kind of computer, audio hardware and apps are you running?

wheres the error log? I run a P4 2.8,1 gig,dual seagate120's, win xp pro. Theres no error message just stops working and i end the program. I use pro tools LE and sound forge 8. I like to export out of SF. Thanks man.

Start--> All Programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Information

Click on "Software Environment" and then click on, "Windows Error Reporting".

Are their any faults and/or errors pertaining to CD Architect or any other Sony Media apps? If so, what do they say?

Are you sharing the Digidesign ASIO driver between SF8 and PTLE? If not, what audio driver are you using for your Sony programs?

Usually, SF8 and CDA 5.2 are pretty damn solid together. But PTLE open in the background and who knows?

Make sure you have your proggies updated too! SF8 has a "b" update and CDA is up to 5.2. I'm running PTLE 6.9 on XP and that's it unless I go to 7.

And BTW. What were you doing when the freeze happened? Can you replicate it? Or is it random?

YES I am running the setup as you are. i updated SF8 and CD 5.2. It happens when i export to cd 5.2 and hit play and it says im already using the sound device in another app(SF8) so i close out SF and somtimes it works for a awhile but most freezes up and start over. I dont run PTLE in the background. I do have a prog called MME or something that is supposed to let you the sound device or something run together with SF and CD arcitect. Maybe you can help me with this bro, i cant seem to slow my mix down. Everytime i change the rate to where i want it, it dosent seem to burn that speed. i changed it in SF to .94 and saved it then open it in arcitect but it speeds back up again. Try to change it in arctitect but it dosent burn the cd at the speed i set. gonna go check the log right now. many thanks.

Are you having lockups during a burn? What speed are you burning at? What type of burner? What type of blank media?

What samplerate are you at in Soundforge? What rate in CDA?

And what are you using for a soundcard with the MME driver?

If you are M Boxing, use the Digidesign ASIO in SF8 and CDA with PTLE shut down.
