I was wondering if anyone here, was familiar with the Microphone setup on the Kind Of Blue recording, by Miles Davis.

I've been having a discussion with a friend of mine about it. It was released in 1957/8. I'm guessing it was made all live with one microphone, and the musicians all a round it. Is that a fair guess? Or had they started using more mic's in that era?

We want to experiment with a "one mic" setup, and have that record as a reference point, or any good recording using that technique.
