What's so special about it? How does it differ to the SF24? I love my SF24, now almost exclusively used for choral miking.

I can't tell you from a sound perspective. Have you tried the AEA R88 for chorus? While I love the SF12 on most everything else, to me the R88 wins in the group vocals department.
