Didn't find any mention of this anywhere in a search but apologies if it's already been covered here. If this thing sounds as good as it looks it's gonna be real tasty:

If you're referring to where it's physically located on the front panel, it does appear to be in a somewhat ticklish spot. The real estate on the front panel of a box like that isn't exactly swimming with space. The location of the DI jack isn't necessarily an indication of how the thing will actually sound. I'd be more interested in a unit like this for its preamps, an not neccessarily it's DI.
I'd still like to see some reviews on it before I get too excieted about it though.

I bet if they made the HUGE Knobs smaller, they could find a better place for the DI input
This seems intersting, and the switchable Output circuitry would likely do some good IMO.
If this is truly on-par with API, etc, then it is a great bargain ($3450 for 8 channels and switchable outputs).
Output attenuation would be nice for driving the Preamp if desired...

Never saw it before, but I'd be leary of a product where the DI is placed in just about the worst place it could be.
