I hope I'm posting this in the correct area.
I recently saw Owl City (hate all you want, i've been listening way before Fireflies and all that came out) live in NYC, and noticed this small handheld microphone that created such an effect on his voice I was awed. As a fellow recording artist, I would love to know where I can nab one of these. Below are a few videos of him using the effect right in the beginning. If anyone could help me out, or point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks!

Well yeah theres the modulation but that's easy. Probably a phaser or flanger. [="http://www.bojo-sof…"]LoFi[/]="http://www.bojo-sof…"]LoFi[/] is distortion basically. Degrading the signal.
Try [="http://www.bojo-software.com/downloads/
Try [="http://www.bojo-sof…"]LoFi[/]="http://www.bojo-sof…"]LoFi[/] . It's some sort of granulator or distortion type effect. This post should really be in the Home Recording or vocal forum.
